Responsibilities
- Work on topics in color perception to support research in AR head-mounted display technologies.
- Conceive and develop simulations and models of visual perception for AR display technologies.
- Design and conduct psychophysical experiments to quantify color perception in AR displays.
- Conduct user studies on benchtop testbeds and head-mounted prototypes for AR technologies.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to design vision science studies in applied contexts.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or has a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Currently pursuing or has a PhD in Color Science, Vision Science, or a related field.
- Experience establishing color calibration pipelines and psychophysical verification of display output.
- Proficiency in designing and analyzing psychophysical experiments related to visual perception.
- Publications in top venues related to color perception or psychophysics are preferred.
- Experience with stereoscopic or head-mounted displays to study the visual system.
- Familiarity with color science standards and demonstrated ability to communicate scientific concepts.
