Responsibilities
- Contribute to mechanical solutions as part of a cross-functional team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Work across the full product development cycle, from concept inception to product shipping.
- Collaborate and manage work with Asia-based Supply Chain.
- Push state-of-the-art technologies to solve complex mechanical problems.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
- Engage in design for manufacturability and assembly focusing on cost-effective solutions.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 2+ years of experience in related fields.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and CAD.
- Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques and material properties.
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, etc.).
- Proven technical communication skills.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
