Responsibilities
- Design humanoid robot components and systems integrating sensors, electronics, and mechatronics.
- Define mechanical aspects of PCB and flex PCB integration, ensuring robustness and serviceability.
- Support prototype fabrication and assembly, collaborating with partners for part fabrication.
- Conduct performance testing and failure analysis, including designing test plans and refining design assumptions.
- Collaborate with industrial design for packaging and form considerations.
- Work closely with a cross-functional engineering team to deliver comprehensive technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement design improvements based on testing outcomes.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, particularly in consumer electronics.
- BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing complex electro-mechanical consumer solutions.
- Proficiency in CAD tools like SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with prototyping manufacturing processes and materials.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle time-sensitive projects.
- Experience with tolerance analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
