Responsibilities
- Design of humanoid robot components and systems that integrate sensors, electronics, and structure, and mechatronics.
- PCB and flex PCB mechanical definition, cooling, and integration, ensuring robustness and serviceability.
- Support prototype fabrication and builds, collaborating with partners for part fabrication and assembly.
- Conduct performance testing and failure analysis, including data measurement and design refinement.
- Collaborate with industrial design on overall packaging form and volume constraints.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (EE, SW, Firmware) to deliver complete technical solutions.
- Engage in sustaining engineering, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and implementing design improvements.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, particularly in consumer electronics.
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in designing complex electro-mechanical solutions.
- Experience with CAD tools like SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Knowledge of prototyping manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive projects and work with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with tolerance analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
