Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for robotics including structures, mechanisms, and systems integration.
- Support part fabrication and complex custom sub-assembly in collaboration with internal/external partners.
- Construct sub-assemblies and full system-level robot prototypes in the lab.
- Conduct failure analysis through building test fixtures, designing tests, and analyzing data.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions.
- Engage in continuous learning and tackle new technologies and AR/VR problem-solving.
- Manage time-sensitive projects while balancing priorities and stakeholder needs.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering and Machine Design.
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in designing complex electromechanical assemblies (e.g., robotics, automotive).
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Experience in tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Preferred experience in Robotics and consumer electronic product design.
