Responsibilities
- Work with design teams to understand design intent and manufacturability.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability assessments to manage risks and influence early designs.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Managers to optimize the supply chain for product manufacturing.
- Develop processes that meet design, cost, and quality requirements.
- Work with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and scale production.
- Design experiments and lead studies to collect data for decision-making.
- Travel up to 25% to supplier sites.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of manufacturing or process development experience.
- Experience with assembly, lamination, automation, CNC machining, and related processes.
- Experience with highly cosmetic consumer electronics parts is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Asia-based contract manufacturers and high-volume products.
- Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive impact.
