Responsibilities
- Work with design teams to understand design intent and provide manufacturability input.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability assessments to manage risks and influence designs.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Managers to optimize the supply chain.
- Develop processes to meet design, cost, and quality requirements.
- Work with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and scale production.
- Design experiments and lead studies for data collection on design and processes.
- Travel up to 25% to supplier sites.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of manufacturing or process development experience.
- Experience with assembly, lamination, automation, CNC machining, and related processes.
- Experience manufacturing cosmetic consumer electronics parts.
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Asia-based contract manufacturers and high-volume products.
- Experience developing supplier or equipment capabilities.
