Responsibilities
- Work with design teams to understand design intent and manufacturability.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability assessments to manage risks.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Managers to establish optimal supply chains.
- Develop processes to meet design, cost, and quality requirements.
- Work with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and scale production.
- Design experiments and lead studies for data collection.
- Travel up to 25% to supplier sites.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of manufacturing or process development experience.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g., assembly, CNC machining).
- Preferred experience with cosmetic consumer electronics parts.
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Asia-based contract manufacturers.
- Experience in high-volume consumer electronic products.
