Responsibilities
- Work with design teams to understand design intent and provide manufacturability input.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability assessments to manage risks and influence early-stage designs.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Managers to establish optimal manufacturing supply chains.
- Develop processes that meet design, cost, and quality requirements.
- Work with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and scale production.
- Design experiments and lead studies to collect data for decision-making.
- Travel up to 25% to supplier sites.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of manufacturing or process development experience.
- Experience with assembly, lamination, automation, CNC machining, and related processes.
- Experience manufacturing cosmetic consumer electronics parts.
- Hands-on experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Asia-based contract manufacturers.
- Experience with high-volume consumer electronic products and developing supplier capabilities.
