Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics, ensuring ergonomics and performance.
- Support parts manufacture by collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Assemble robots by constructing sub-assemblies and full system prototypes in the lab.
- Conduct failure analysis through building test fixtures and performing tests on subsystems.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering.
- BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with electromechanical assemblies in robotics or related industries.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with prototyping processes and materials.
- Experience with embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
