Electrical Engineer, Reality Labs Research

The role involves designing, building, and testing prototype electrical systems for augmented and mixed reality technologies at Meta Reality Labs, contributing to innovative consumer experiences.

• Own electrical development of complex subsystems or systems under a technical lead
• Design schematics, direct board layout, and draft design documentation
• Conduct feasibility studies and propose innovative solutions
• Manage bring up and debug, supporting manufacturing and assembly
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop systems
• Evaluate vendor designs and transform them into custom solutions
• Contribute to building the internal community through recruitment and mentorship

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Altium, Cadence)
• Experience with complex board designs (PCB/FPC/RFPC)
• Familiarity with technologies like digital signal processing and mobile SoC
• Experience with high-speed digital test equipment and logic analyzers
• Preferred: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, 8+ years of industry experience in electrical design
