Responsibilities
- Ownership of battery pack integration and final assembly techniques for successful product launch.
- Define cell and pack requirements in collaboration with product engineering teams.
- Research, design, evaluate, and maintain mechanical products and systems.
- Recommend design modifications to resolve mechanical and system malfunctions.
- Conduct feasibility and performance testing of equipment and systems.
- Develop test and validation plans for battery packs.
- Support reliability testing with internal and external organizations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with battery pack design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Creo).
- Experience with high volume manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with plastic molded parts and sheet metal design.
- Knowledge of PCB/flex design and integration.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience and knowledge of Lithium-ion cell design.
