Responsibilities
- Ownership of battery pack integration including design and final assembly techniques
- Define cell and pack requirements with product engineering teams
- Research, design, evaluate, and maintain mechanical products and systems
- Confer with engineers to resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
- Develop test and validation plans for manufacturing battery packs
- Support module and system reliability testing with internal and external organizations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with battery pack design
- Experience with 3D CAD packages (Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Creo)
- Familiarity with high volume manufacturing programs
- Knowledge of plastic molded parts and sheet metal design
- Experience in PCB/flex design and integration
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience and knowledge of battery safety and reliability requirements
