Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom digital circuits for CPUs, including memory and caches.
- Perform circuit design, schematic entry, and simulation for CPU blocks.
- Create block-level DFT models and develop memory test tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to report on design progress and resolve issues.
- Optimize performance, power, and area of CPU circuits.
- Drive characterization of memory instances and compilers.
- Work with architecture and layout teams to ensure functionality and robustness.
Job Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 1+ years of experience in a high-tech company (preferred).
- Experience with CMOS circuit design and digital logic optimization.
- Understanding of circuit design trade-offs for power, performance, and area.
- Familiarity with Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI).
- Memory design experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of low power implementation techniques (preferred).
