Responsibilities
- Produce PCB designs and schematics, collaborating with layout engineers.
- Work closely with FPGA and firmware engineers to characterize and test PCB systems.
- Design electrical systems including power distribution and interconnection diagrams.
- Ensure designs meet requirements and are serviceable alongside mechanical engineers.
- Familiarity with electronic components such as power supply regulators and ADCs/DACs.
- Utilize tools like OrCAD PCB, Altium, PADS, or Eagle for design tasks.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
Job Requirements
- Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 0 to 5 years of related work experience depending on education level.
- Familiarity with AC power distribution and programmable logic controllers.
- Experience with cable and fiber optic design, ladder logic, or soldering is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
- Knowledge of simulation tools like ADS or Hyperlynx is desirable.
