The role involves conducting research in embodied artificial intelligence and robotics, focusing on system design, modeling, and prototyping. The candidate will collaborate with a diverse team to develop novel algorithms and functionalities for AI in robotics.
Responsibilities
- Perform fundamental and applied research in embodied artificial intelligence.
- Invent/improve data-driven paradigms for robotics using various modalities.
- Investigate paradigms for delivering a spectrum of embodied behaviors in robots.
- Develop algorithms based on machine learning and neural network methodologies.
- Define, build, and benchmark new functionalities for the next generation of AI.
- Conduct research towards long-term product goals while identifying intermediate milestones.
- Plan and execute novel research based on the organization's long-term objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- Currently pursuing or obtaining a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience in robotics-related research areas such as robot learning and reinforcement learning.
- Preferred 2+ years of industry experience in relevant robotics research areas.
- Proven track record of significant results through grants, patents, or publications.
- Experience with robot simulations and real-world hardware.
- Proficient in deep learning frameworks and Python.
