Responsibilities
- Develop the world’s most advanced 3D printers.
- Manage, mentor, and train the mechanical, electrical, and compliance engineering teams.
- Set engineering standards, manage risk, and prioritize team efforts.
- Work with other leaders to determine project requirements including schedule, staffing, budget, and workspace.
- Review and approve designs for performance, quality, and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing to ensure production stability and quality.
- Advocate for the hardware engineering viewpoint in cross-functional discussions.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of experience developing complex electro-mechanical products.
- 7+ years in engineering leadership roles.
- Expert electro-mechanical engineering skills.
- Broad knowledge of the intersection of hardware, software, and materials.
- Experience applying engineering best practices to systems design and product lifecycle.
- Fluid communication skills for achieving cross-functional alignment.
- B.S. in mechanical or electrical engineering (M.S. preferred).
