Responsibilities
- Lead approximately 25 engineers, including managers.
- Manage 40-50% of the mechanical project portfolio.
- Ensure accountability for multiple core subsystems.
- Identify and mitigate subsystem and program-level risks early.
- Maintain strong engineering review discipline (FMEA, DVP&R, tolerance analysis, ECO governance).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supplier Quality for at-scale production support.
- Develop future engineering leaders within the organization.
Job Requirements
- 18+ years of experience in delivering complex industrial or energy hardware.
- Experience in high-volume, at-scale environments.
- Proven leadership of 15-30+ engineers (direct and indirect).
- Strong judgment regarding technical and program risk.
- Ability to balance architecture evolution with production realities.
- Management experience is required; previous Director title not mandatory.
- Senior-level design credibility to lead experienced engineers.
