Responsibilities
- Work with engineers to design tooling and fixtures for fiber-optic components development, perform tolerance analysis.
- Create detailed piece part and assembly drawings, specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
- Perform incoming inspection on received parts.
- Assemble and test prototype components, tooling, and equipment.
- Document and ECO release of engineering reports, engineering drawings, bill of materials, and equipment design specifications.
Job Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related major.
- Abilities in mechanical design, drafting, and tolerance analysis.
- Familiarity with software tools: SolidWorks, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Agile.
- Strong analytic and statistic skills, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent hands-on, communication, and teamwork skills required.
- Knowledge of FEA software such as ANSYS is a plus.
- Experiences in opto-mechanical designs and production development are a plus.
