Responsibilities
- Work with engineers to design tooling and fixtures for fiber-optic components development.
- Perform tolerance analysis.
- Create detailed piece part and assembly drawings, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures.
- Perform incoming inspection on received parts.
- Assemble and test prototype components, tooling, and equipment.
- Document and ECO release of engineering reports, engineering drawings, bill of materials, and equipment design specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
Job Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related major.
- Familiarity with mechanical design, drafting, and tolerance analysis.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Agile.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent hands-on, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of FEA software such as ANSYS is a plus.
