Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers.
- Create RFQs and analyze supplier quotations to develop sourcing recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts regarding parts pricing and tooling costs.
- Work with suppliers to release parts into production and issue purchase orders.
- Manage supplier development timelines and resolve any arising issues.
- Maintain supplier relationships and provide updates on sourcing status.
- Travel 10-20% to perform business and program reviews with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, supply chain, or finance discipline; or a Master’s degree with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering in the automotive industry.
- Experience with automotive interior commodities and related technologies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality principles.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems.
