Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers.
- Create RFQs and analyze supplier quotations for sourcing recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts including parts pricing and tooling costs.
- Release parts into production and issue POs for prototypes.
- Manage supplier development timelines and resolve issues.
- Maintain supplier relationships and report on sourcing status.
- Travel to suppliers for business and program reviews (10-20% travel).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, supply chain, or finance discipline with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or engineering in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to interior hard trims.
- Product launch experience and understanding of quality principles.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
