Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers.
- Create RFQs, analyze quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts including pricing and tooling costs.
- Work with suppliers to release parts into production.
- Manage supplier development timelines and part availability for production.
- Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as the point of contact for commercial issues.
- Travel 15-25% to perform business and program reviews with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years' experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering, preferably in stamping and metals.
- Understanding of body design and experience in sourcing related commodities.
- Product launch experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, and ERP systems.
