Responsibilities

  • Design, model, and detail components and assemblies for AMRs and supporting accessories using Creo/Windchill and SolidWorks.
  • Evaluate designs for strength and stiffness using hand calculations, FEA, and other analytical methods.
  • Develop components optimized for high-volume, cost-effective manufacturing.
  • Partner with operations, manufacturing, and procurement teams to improve assembly efficiency and meet production timelines.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to define competitive manufacturing strategies.
  • Support prototyping efforts, including machining, 3D printing, and rapid iteration processes.
  • Assist in developing and executing validation and test plans.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Academic or hands-on experience in robotics, mechanical, or electromechanical design.
  • Experience designing for manufacturability (machined parts, sheet metal, castings, thermoplastics).
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo, Windchill, or SolidWorks.
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals, including stress analysis and basic FEA.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teams and interact with customers.
