Responsibilities
- Lead the direction of engineers in the design and development of innovative mechanical systems.
- Functionally own mechanical systems and delegate tasks to team members.
- Develop and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses.
- Collaborate with integrated product teams and interact with stakeholders throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Represent the organization in technical and stakeholder reviews.
- Supervise the build and validation of hardware in a production environment.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in leading technical teams and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of structures, mechanisms, and materials, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship is required.
- Prior experience with complex mechanical subsystems and integration.
