Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, procedures, and schematics for mechanical tests on the Orion spacecraft.
- Understand the assembly, integration, and test flow of the Orion spacecraft.
- Execute test procedures on current and future flight articles.
- Collaborate with team members across different engineering and manufacturing disciplines.
- Conduct acceptance testing, environmental testing, and ground servicing of flight hardware.
- Support test activities at various locations, primarily at Kennedy Space Center.
- Engage with structural, environmental, or pneumatic testing and use Mechanical Ground Support Equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with structural, environmental, or pneumatic testing preferred.
- Familiarity with Mechanical Ground Support Equipment and fluid systems.
- Experience writing test plans and interpreting engineering drawings.
