Mechanical Engineer - Propulsion

The role involves supporting the engineering team in the design, development, and integration of Electric Propulsion System components for flight and ground systems at Lockheed Martin Space.

• Support Electric Propulsion Subsystem Integration.
• Assist in the conceptual development and design of propulsion components.
• Establish and review qualification and acceptance test procedures.
• Work closely with propulsion engineers for system integration.
• Perform trade studies for design solutions.
• Develop product performance specifications and supplier data requirements.
• Identify and communicate risks and opportunities.

• Experience with 1st order analysis in fluids, statics, dynamics, and heat transfer.
• Knowledge of mechanical CAD modeling and drafting.
• Familiarity with Fluid Mechanics and circuit design.
• Hands-on hardware experience.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
