Mechanical Design Engineer

The role is for a Mechanical Engineer in the Precision Fires Launchers team at Lockheed Martin, responsible for designing and implementing production and Industrial Engineering Services programs for the US Army's precision fire missile artillery system.

• 3D model manipulation and design
• Interacting with the engineering team and suppliers
• Drawing preparation and release
• Shop liaison and tolerance analysis
• Some travel to suppliers and production sites
• Provide Mechanical Engineering and Product Design support
• Collaborate with the engineering team to drive program success

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Experience in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and PLM (Windchill)
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Software Tools
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and engineering change process
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Experience in ground vehicle design and production support is a bonus
