Responsibilities
- Develop unique battery designs through the entire lifecycle from concept to detail design, manufacturing, and validation testing.
- Mechanical design of high-voltage DC battery packs, modules, and enclosures using SolidWorks.
- Participate in design/peer review and change control activities.
- Generate engineering design documentation and specifications.
- Conduct lab trials and experiments to inform design direction.
- Help develop manufacturing equipment and processes for new product introduction.
- Lead or assist in product validation and testing execution.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 3-7 years related experience.
- 3D modeling experience using SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated creative problem solving in industry or academic settings.
- Hands-on abilities (e.g., machine shop skills, technical hobbies/projects).
- Fundamental understanding of GD&T principles and application.
- General understanding of mechanical part fabrication methods.
- Basic understanding of electronics and troubleshooting.
