Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robotics and mechanical systems for automation applications.
- Design innovative pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and optical solutions for robotic workcells.
- Mentor teams in advanced CAD design using SolidWorks, optimizing systems for workflows.
- Direct the creation and validation of designs through rapid prototyping methods.
- Collaborate with software and controls engineers to integrate mechanical designs.
- Develop strategies to automate manual processes while ensuring safety and quality.
- Coordinate with vendors for custom component development and system integration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automation for life sciences.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD design, GD&T, and DFMA.
- Experience with requirement management systems and product lifecycle management.
- Leadership experience in managing complex projects and mentoring teams.
- Knowledge of motion control and mechatronic systems for scientific applications.
- Attention to detail in documentation and adherence to standards.
