Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of bench-scale robotics and mechanical systems.
- Design pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and optical solutions for robotic workcells.
- Mentor teams in CAD design and analysis using SolidWorks.
- Oversee the creation and validation of designs through rapid prototyping methods.
- Collaborate with software and controls teams to integrate mechanical designs.
- Develop strategies for automating manual processes while ensuring safety and quality.
- Coordinate with vendors for custom component development and system integration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automation for life sciences.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD design, GD&T, and DFMA.
- Experience with requirement management and product lifecycle management systems.
- Leadership experience in managing complex projects and mentoring teams.
- Bonus experience in motion control and automated systems for scientific applications.
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and equipment management.
