Responsibilities
- Partner with teams to develop concepts for instruments and lab automation hardware.
- Use SolidWorks for designing and iterating on components for robotics and autonomous systems.
- Design, build, and test prototypes to validate concepts in life science workflows.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to integrate mechanical solutions.
- Design and run electromechanical test setups for reliability testing.
- Evaluate designs using tools like FMEAs and design reviews.
- Document work to ensure clarity and continuity for future contributions.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Interest in automation in life sciences and physical sciences.
- Familiarity with GD&T and fabrication methods is a plus.
- Previous internship experience in relevant fields is advantageous.
