Project Engineering Intern E (Canoga Park, CA)

The role is for a Project & Component Engineering Intern at L3Harris, focusing on entry-level engineering tasks related to rocket propulsion projects and supporting senior engineering staff.

• Perform entry-level engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects.
• Support senior engineering staff and gain experience with company projects.
• Operate effectively in a team environment.
• Assist in the design and development of rocket propulsion hardware.
• Provide technical support to engineers in combustion devices, turbopumps, small thrusters, valves & actuators, and systems hardware.
• Participate in orientation and training.
• Engage in projects that may focus on project and component engineering.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar major.
• Must be returning to school upon completion of the internship.
• Junior standing or above preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working independently on full cycle projects.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications.
• At least 1 year of experience leading teams to achieve results.
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
