NPI Engineer Intern

The NPI Engineer Intern will support the new product development process within KLA's semiconductor manufacturing division, engaging in technology feasibility evaluations and assisting with product designs, prototyping, and testing.

• Own NPI deliverables, including product BOMs, procedures, tooling, and fixtures.
• Lead multi-functional teams to meet project milestones and requirements.
• Participate in the design and development process, proposing improvements and driving project decisions.
• Coordinate prototype material, build, align, and test assemblies for design validation.
• Generate and release the product Bill of Material (BOM) and assist in creating assembly procedures.
• Develop alignment/test tooling and packaging for assembly and shipping.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with designs and prototypes in a cleanroom environment.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, or Manufacturing) or Physics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and project management thinking.
• Desirable experience with building and aligning opto-mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with Semiconductor Capital Equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably ProE/CREO, is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Self-motivated, fast-learning, and capable of working independently in a global team.
