Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of heavy-duty trucks within the Routings Group.
- Manage implementation of product changes by tracking project schedule, budget, and functional requirements.
- Utilize Creo to create optimized air and harness routings, including supporting bracketry and troughs.
- Work closely with Electrical teams and suppliers to optimize harness design for routings.
- Investigate warranty and plant quality data to understand routing-related defects.
- Collaborate with simulation teams to analyze and validate designs with FEA.
- Create rapid prototypes to evaluate and validate design concepts.
Job Requirements
- BSME required; F.E. certificate preferred.
- 1-3+ years of industry-related background required; design experience with heavy-duty trucks is a plus.
- Extensive 3D modeling software experience required (Creo Parametric preferred).
- Understanding of Design for Six Sigma and Six Sigma techniques.
- Competence in personal computer software such as word processing, database, and spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and solve complex technical problems independently.
