Responsibilities
- Design electronics PCBAs for spacecraft including architecture, component selection, circuit board design, board bring up, and debugging
- Qualify designs through environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate designs into spacecraft systems and operate hardware in flight
- Develop test equipment, development PCBAs, and test scripts
- Prototype electronics assemblies and execute performance testing
- Design more capable devices for future spacecraft generations
- Fly electronics in space and develop novel designs across avionics domains
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or 3+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering
- Experience designing and testing electronics PCBAs in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of multi-layer PCBAs for high-speed digital applications (nice to have)
- Familiarity with high-performance kW scale isolated power converter design (nice to have)
- Proficient with circuit simulation tools such as LTspice
- Experience with component selection for use in radiation environments (nice to have)
- Programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Matlab (nice to have)
