Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and develop propulsion systems and components for space flight.
- Conduct mathematical modeling of dynamic systems.
- Apply advanced propulsion system design experience and analysis principles.
- Design and operate propulsion system test equipment, ensuring safety in writing and executing test procedures.
- Conduct qualification and acceptance testing of components and systems.
- Fabricate propulsion components and assemblies as necessary.
- Participate in the entire cradle-to-grave development process, including requirements development and mission operations support.
Job Requirements
- MS or BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proficiency in fluid dynamics, combustion, heat transfer, structural design, and material science.
- Strong knowledge of propulsion system fundamentals and thermodynamics.
- Professional experience with design software like CREO, Solidworks, or Ansys/Fluent.
- Experience in creating and validating engineering models.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under aggressive delivery schedules and in a collaborative environment.
