Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a Supplier Engineering and Development program.
- Own and drive supplier variances from symptom through root cause analysis to corrective action.
- Select suppliers to ensure high quality and repeatability.
- Drive supplier process improvements using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Develop metrics to measure supplier performance and manage continuous improvement programs.
- Collaborate across multiple organizations for supplier development and compliance.
- Build department functions through training, coaching, and recruiting.
Job Requirements
- BA or BS degree with 10+ years in Supplier Management, preferably in medical devices.
- Minimum 5 years leading supplier development or quality engineering teams.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical and process problems.
- Deep knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes relevant to medical devices.
- Excellent knowledge of GMPs and regulatory compliance in supplier areas.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
- Significant computer experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and Agile.
