The Vehicle Engineering Intern will assist in spacecraft development projects, focusing on the design and build of spacecraft hardware and testing equipment while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and build of primary structures, tanks, and thermal management systems.
  • Assist in the design, analysis, and manufacturing of spacecraft hardware.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to test hardware.
  • Resolve technical issues with innovative solutions.
  • Take project ownership and work effectively in a team.
  • Utilize CAD software and analysis programming.
  • Learn new tools and methodologies related to vehicle engineering.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in engineering or science.
  • Proficiency in mechanics, materials, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
  • Experience in hardware project phases (design, build, test).
  • Familiarity with CAD software and analysis tools like MATLAB.
  • Willingness to work on-site and potentially overtime.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligibility for ITAR compliance.
