Engineer I

The Engineer I position at Howmet Fastening Systems involves assisting in technical documentation and coordinating manufacturing processes within the manufacturing plant. The role focuses on supporting and improving manufacturing practices and ensuring efficient production methods.

• Prepares technical documentation, including engineering drawings and job travelers.
• Evaluates and develops current manufacturing practices.
• Proposes improved manufacturing methods for cost reduction and increased efficiency.
• Analyzes product workflow and designs equipment layouts for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with planning and design staff regarding product and tooling design.
• Determines product specifications through vendor and customer consultations.
• Assists senior engineers with manufacturing, product, and quality requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 internship or 6 months of related experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to work independently and learn quickly.
