Mechanical Design Engineer I

The Mechanical Design Engineer I role at Honeywell involves designing and developing mechanical solutions for the aerospace industry, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. The position includes participation in an Engineering Rotation Program aimed at fostering the development of emerging engineers.

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components for aerospace applications.
• Conduct mechanical analysis and simulations to validate product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.
• Participate in the Engineering Rotation Program for diverse experiences.
• Work closely with the Mechanical Systems team on gear, bearing, seal, and lubrication system design.
• Report directly to the Engineering Manager.
• Engage in a hybrid work schedule from the Phoenix, Arizona location.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
• 0-2 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools.
• Advanced Engineering degrees (ME) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
