Responsibilities
- Collaborate with suppliers and Honeywell Engineering on material and process issues.
- Troubleshoot material and process issues, providing technical solutions.
- Provide internal engineering support for casting development and process improvements.
- Review engineering drawings and requirements.
- Conduct casting supplier audits and assess their strengths and weaknesses.
- Work with Design Engineering and develop supplier relationships.
- Participate in all phases of product development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
- 4+ years of experience in materials/process engineering in the casting industry.
- 4+ years of experience with aerospace cast alloys (nickel, aluminum, steel, titanium).
- Familiarity with casting production processes (investment/sand casting).
- Understanding of industrial materials and processing specifications.
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, and process improvement tools.
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field is a plus.
