Responsibilities
- Solve structural static and dynamic problems through hand calculations, finite element analysis, or test data.
- Define external loads from flight maneuvers, gust, takeoff, and landing for structural design and analysis.
- Generate vehicle finite element models to assess static and dynamic load cases.
- Characterize aeroelastic effects such as flutter.
- Define random vibration environments from buffet and engine dynamics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine analysis and testing procedures.
- Utilize industry-standard simulation tools for loads and dynamics analysis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of job or project experience in loads and dynamics analysis.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Proficiency with simulation tools like NASTRAN or similar finite element analysis software.
- Experience with supersonic or hypersonic flight regimes and high-temperature materials.
- Analytical programming experience, preferably in Python.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.
