Responsibilities

  • Solve structural static and dynamic problems through hand calculations, finite element analysis, or test data.
  • Define external loads from flight maneuvers, gust, takeoff, and landing for structural design and analysis.
  • Generate vehicle finite element model to assess static and dynamic load cases.
  • Characterize aeroelastic effects such as flutter.
  • Define random vibration environments from buffet and engine dynamics.
  • Work within cross-functional teams to support aircraft development.
  • Utilize simulation tools and programming for data processing and analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 1+ years of job or project experience in loads and dynamics analysis, ideally in aerospace.
  • Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
  • Professional experience with simulation tools, such as NASTRAN or similar.
  • Analytical/engineering programming experience, preferably in Python.
  • Solid understanding of flight mechanics, aerodynamics, and structural analysis principles.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.
