Responsibilities
- Design, test, troubleshoot, and support high-voltage systems for pulsed magnetic coils.
- Evaluate and apply solid-state switching devices with attention to performance metrics.
- Specify and integrate high energy components for electrical systems.
- Design, test, and integrate power converters for energy delivery and recovery.
- Develop switching-stage designs for various converter topologies.
- Design low voltage control electronics and PCBs for high energy systems.
- Ensure measurement integrity in high EMI environments and partner with firmware/software teams.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in power electronics and electrical engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Demonstrated strength in one of the focus areas (high voltage, power electronics, low voltage).
- Hands-on troubleshooting ability with standard lab equipment.
- Comfortable in high-energy or electrically noisy environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, LTSpice, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Simulink, Python, and/or MATLAB.
- Strong safety mindset and disciplined documentation practices.
