Responsibilities
- Design, test, troubleshoot, and support high voltage electrical power systems for pulsed magnetic coils.
- Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of high-power electrical systems.
- Develop electrical system architecture and produce electrical schematics and installation drawings.
- Create cost-effective and reliable design solutions through a technical peer review process.
- Collaborate with operators during machine commissioning and throughout the machine's lifecycle.
- Manage cost, schedule, and resource estimates related to design and delivery timelines.
- Demonstrate rigorous engineering practices in all aspects of the role.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics and electrical engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in design, fabrication, installation, and testing of electrical systems.
- Strong background in solid state switching technologies and power electronic components.
- Technical expertise in engineering concepts, principles, codes, and practices.
- Proficiency in electronic troubleshooting systems using standard benchtop tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, LTSpice, SIMtrex/Simplis, Altium, and Matlab.
