Responsibilities
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams across mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems.
- Own the design and delivery of critical plant systems, including radiation shielding and thermal management.
- Collaborate with nuclear, magnet, and systems engineering teams for integration of fusion generators.
- Drive engineering execution from concept through to manufacturing and testing.
- Set technical standards for rigor, documentation, and accountability.
- Raise standards for ownership, execution pace, and design clarity within teams.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of engineering leaders at Helion.
Job Requirements
- Degree in engineering or sciences.
- 10+ years of multidisciplinary engineering experience, with 5+ in leadership or management.
- Proven experience in leading complex system design from concept to deployment.
- Expertise in mechanical systems, heat transfer, vacuum systems, or process engineering.
- Ability to build structure in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
