Responsibilities
- Own and design the entire product design lifecycle, including requirements gathering, concept generation, detailed design with analysis, verification testing, cross-functional reviews, and manufacturing release.
- Develop and execute designs for complex systems backed by thorough engineering analysis.
- Create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements. Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve potential technical challenges.
- Influence and shape future products by providing mechanical and product design engineering expertise into the technology roadmap with data-driven decisions.
- Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities as well as technology risks.
- Provide engineering knowledge and mentor team members in areas of expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to build innovative solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- 5 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in design and analysis of electro-mechanical systems and products.
- Experience using FEA (ANSYS or FloTHERM) for Mechanical (structural and thermal) analysis.
- Experience with design and analysis for thermal engineering fundamentals with heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
