Responsibilities
- Own and design products over the entire product design life cycle including requirements gathering, concept generation, detailed design with analysis, cross-functional reviews, verification testing, manufacturing release, and sustaining.
- Ensure designs are fundamentally sound, scalable, robust, and meet engineering requirements backed by thorough engineering analysis and product validation through developing test plans, performing testing ensuring designs.
- Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve technical challenges that arise throughout the product development life-cycle.
- Influence and shape future products by providing mechanical and product design engineering expertise into the technology roadmap with data-driven decisions.
- Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities as well as technology risks.
- Provide engineering knowledge and mentor team members in areas of expertise.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design principles including production, sheet metal, castings, injection molding, structural analysis, and thermal analysis.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
- Experience in designing electro-mechanical assemblies with an understanding of mechanical tolerances from chip to data center scale.
- Experience developing products with high-speed signal, power, and cooling interconnects.
- Knowledge of ASIC cooling solution stack-ups, their structural behavior, and reliability.
- Experience in the mechanical design and engineering of high density, high component count Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) assemblies.
