Responsibilities
- Design and develop Google’s data center elements and custom equipment.
- Work closely with Google’s IT, supply chain, and construction teams, and architects and engineers across various disciplines to develop optimal designs.
- Manage a large organization of distributed teams larger than 100 individuals.
- Analyze, align, and drive programs to completion in collaboration with internal technical teams and external suppliers.
- Challenge the status quo to improve existing designs.
- Optimize designs for operating requirements and constraints.
- Inspire design solutions that improve speed to capacity and lower costs while maintaining safety and security governance requirements.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant Engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years of experience as an engineering leader in data center mechanical, electrical, power, plumbing, controls, and construction methods.
- 10 years of experience managing managers.
- Expertise in industry trends and standards related to data centers and IT equipment.
- Experience in successfully designing and implementing sustainable goals.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Ability to challenge existing processes and drive innovation.
