Responsibilities
- Drive the technical execution of mechanical and manufacturing test strategies, ensuring high design quality and technical excellence.
- Oversee the end-to-end development of test fixtures from concept to mass production, including the creation of detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for precise tolerancing.
- Collaborate with Product Design and Operations teams to review new concepts, identify potential challenges, and provide DFM feedback to improve manufacturability.
- Develop and implement new mechanical tests and methodologies to address product design changes and evolving quality requirements.
- Manage technical project schedules and vendor engagements to ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality test solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical test engineering for consumer hardware.
- Experience with test fixture design, assembly, development, system bring-up, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with factory automation, ongoing system monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling tools such as NX and SolidWorks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
