Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical system issues across the entire project life-cycle, including concept design, detailed design, procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and on-site commissioning.
- Perform technical evaluations and due diligence of market-available multi-tenant facilities to evaluate designs based on program requirements, redundancy, availability targets, and potential single points of failure.
- Interface with cross-functional groups to deliver thermal and mechanical solutions.
- Drive technical due diligence and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) to reinforce standards across all regions.
- Prepare critical documentation such as facility audits and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses.
- Develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in mechanical systems.
- Communicate recommendations to executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
- Experience with mechanical distribution systems from chip-to-chiller.
- Proficient in utilizing engineering software packages for mechanical system analysis.
- Familiarity with cooling systems and control strategies.
- Preferred Master's degree in Engineering or relevant field.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally.
