Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical system issues across the entire project life-cycle, including concept design, detailed design, procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and on-site commissioning.
- Perform technical evaluations and due diligence of market-available multi-tenant facilities to evaluate designs based on program requirements, redundancy, availability targets, and potential single points of failure.
- Interface with cross-functional groups to deliver thermal and mechanical solutions.
- Drive technical due diligence and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) to reinforce standards across all regions.
- Prepare critical documentation such as facility audits and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses.
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards in mechanical systems design.
- Provide technical leadership within a matrix organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction.
- Experience with mechanical distribution systems and cooling systems in data centers.
- Proficiency in engineering software packages for design and evaluation.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of interrelated cross-functional issues including structural, civil, IT/Telecom, and electrical aspects.
