Responsibilities
- Developing engineering solutions requiring creative designs and detailed analysis.
- Conducting design reviews and providing feedback on design concepts.
- Responsible for development of design specifications, CAD models, and technical drawings.
- Leading detailed tolerance stack-up analysis and geometric and dimensional tolerancing (GD&T).
- Coordinating procurement of components and materials for integration.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless system integration.
- Overseeing prototype builds and implementing lessons learned into design.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience with GD&T application and structural design for space vehicles.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and FEA software (ANSYS, NASTRAN, FEMAP).
- Prior experience in space domain and satellite segment design.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS-SCI security clearance.
- Experience in laboratory environments and knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer preferred.
