Responsibilities
- Define reliability targets for systems and subsystems based on complexity and architecture maturity.
- Develop design validation test campaigns for vehicle systems from concept to launch.
- Specify test resources and design accelerated test profiles.
- Analyze root causes of failures using various forensic engineering tools.
- Collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines to solve complex problems.
- Utilize connected vehicle platforms to inform hardware design with real-life usage data.
- Conduct DFMEA studies for various systems.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Material Science, applied Physics or Chemistry with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of reliability engineering mathematics and statistics.
- Experience with accelerated life testing and test plan development.
- Solid understanding of the physics of failure, focusing on fatigue and environmental degradation.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and lead root cause analysis campaigns.
- Experience with software tools for data analysis, including Python and cloud computing platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
