Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Oversee the mechanical design of drone airframes and related systems.
- Ensure designs are optimized for performance and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet program requirements.
- Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation.
- Drive design reviews and maintain engineering rigor.
- Manage resource allocation and schedules for multiple projects.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 7+ years of industry experience in mechanical design, with 2-3 years in leadership.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Experience with production-focused design and various manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with electromechanical systems and motion integration.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of FAA guidelines and project management tools is a plus.
