Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, providing career development support.
- Oversee the mechanical design of drone airframes and related systems.
- Ensure designs are optimized for performance and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet program requirements.
- Review and approve engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Manage resource allocation and schedules for development efforts.
- Contribute to prototyping and debugging of complex systems.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 7+ years of industry experience in mechanical design, with leadership experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Background in production-focused design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with electro-mechanical products from concept to production.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with UAS platforms and relevant industry standards is a plus.
