Engineering Intern (Exential)

The Engineering Intern role at Exential involves supporting day-to-day plant operations and engineering projects at the Tolleson, AZ manufacturing facility, providing hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Shadow experienced engineers and technicians to learn about manufacturing processes and systems.
• Assist with engineering calculations, data collection, and analysis for plant operations.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Help with process optimization and reliability initiatives.
• Document standard operating procedures and process flows.
• Analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain organized engineering documentation.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Junior or Senior standing preferred; GPA of 3.0 or higher is a plus.
• Interest in manufacturing environments or plant operations.
• Prior internship or hands-on project experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software is a plus.
