Responsibilities
- Conduct IBR Dynamic Modeling studies related to ERCOT and other regional standards.
- Perform detailed bulk power system studies using software such as PSCAD and PSSE.
- Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit, and dynamic.
- Perform compliance technical assessments on IBR facility ratings and protection coordination.
- Maintain data for engineering-related studies.
- Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while meeting quality and budget objectives.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems.
- 1-2 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
- Experience with power system impact studies.
- Proficient in using power systems software such as PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.
- Experience with automating/programming in Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
