Responsibilities
- Performs design, engineering, economic, and investigative assignments for facility installations.
- Conducts system modeling, load flow, and protective device coordination, preparing reports with findings.
- Assists engineers with more complex studies to meet departmental goals.
- Consults with superiors and vendors for design and cost information.
- Inspects proposed installation sites for connection recommendations.
- Supports business case development through capital project planning.
- Analyzes distribution network loading and recommends corrective plans.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
- Two or more years of related experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred.
- Utility or similar experience preferred.
- Experience with power system simulation software preferred.
