Responsibilities
- Ownership of industrial electrical systems engineering from conceptual design to final schematics.
- Collaborate with mechanical, controls, software, manufacturing, and process engineers to develop novel manufacturing equipment.
- Drive electrical engineering standards and best practices across DAPS manufacturing modules.
- Make insourcing vs. outsourcing decisions for designs, working with vendors and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 79 & UL508A.
- Design harness assemblies and electrical control panels.
- Maintain and develop parts libraries and macros for rapid reuse in schematic development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with EPlan, AutoCAD, or other CAD systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical certification standards in the US & Europe.
- Experience with industrial PLC, HMI & Motion Control systems.
- Knowledge of designing for extensive product lifecycles.
- Preferred Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience designing harness assemblies in 3D CAD software.
