Robotics Systems Engineer Summer Intern

The Robotics Systems Engineer Summer Intern will engage in multidisciplinary work involving mechanical design, software, and electronics, providing hands-on experience in a fast-paced robotics development environment.

• Design and develop a robust tool involving mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including BOMs, wiring diagrams, test plans, and validation reports.
• Organize engineering requirements within Jira for traceability between product specifications and validation tests.
• Define and document new system requirements based on evolving product needs.
• Support Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, including creating test plans and documenting results.
• Collaborate with team members to address real-world engineering challenges.
• Gain exposure to the full product lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proficient in at least one CAD software package (e.g., NX, SolidWorks).
• Experience with coding, preferably in Python or C++.
• Exposure to industrial automation technologies such as PLCs, sensors, and drives.
• Solid understanding of fundamental electronics concepts.
• Strong attention to detail with good documentation practices.
• Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
